Which Plugin were you using for map voting? Was it causing issues?
Cheers | |

| Id have to ask darth what the name of it is. It wasn't causing issues as such, just people didn't seem to like the added maps or the random gun set as much as they enjoyed the normal two maps and heavy gun set. | |

| I found the other maps and gun sets to be refreshing for a change, didn't comment at the time so my bad.
I am crap as a sniper, but at least they put up a challenge! and with another 1000 hours of practice I might make it as a sniper......

| just a simply map vote really. it basically added 5 of the 8 votes and allowed for a vote. if no one voted it was a random map, and if two won the vote, it would be a random one between the winning maps. | |

| I reckon put it back in and add all the CQ and Aftermath maps also. Personally i'm getting tired of getting slaughtered by the guys who spent 100's of hours on the OE server playing the same 2 maps all the time.
Perhaps just for a few days to a week and i'll keep an eye on the players reactions.

| we did that about a week ago. went from 32 people to 10, changed it back to just GM and it went back up. might chuck on another server (16 slot?) and see how and where that takes us. | |

| can you leave the map vote and if no-one votes it stays as Donya/Ziba? might save another server | |

| fair enough, best to appease the masses and promote healthy competition. i don't think there's enough players for another server to be honest. there's a few more GM servers on Battlenet that never get used already. For a month's trial, perhaps a hard core level server to encourage the better players who constantly own everyone else?
looking at the xVotemap plugin it doesn't have the option to pick a subset of maps from all selected as the no vote fall back option. Not sure if there are other plugins available.

| procon have a gigantic list of plugins. usually best to google it. i usually just make my own, but it seems easier to use a few of these and change them if need be. | |

| Hi all. I must say initially I didn't like the pistol/sniper format. But now it seems good for a change. I just have to change my game strategy a bit. I still find killing with the pew pew pistols difficult. I can't click fast enough. I also have trouble when the next gun turns up and I don't realise it's a single shot sniper. But hey, I'm old and we old farts don't like change. | |

| I think I got you once in my last game The Xbow is great, love using it in CQ Domination for a laugh. The pistols are certainly my least favourite as I'm rubbish at using them. I've created a new map list for today only across all available maps with a unique weapon preset for each. Looking forward to some constructive feedback(hopefully). We had a few people on Mumble last night also, very cool, thanks for getting it going. Cheers | |
